The Inter-Governmental Marital Committee nominees are drawn from: Federal Ministry of Inter-Governmental Affairs (States & Local Government Affairs), Federal Ministry of Women Affairs, Federal Ministry of Internal Affairs, Federal Ministry of Information & National Orientation, The Nigerian Judiciary, Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT). The National Assembly, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Nigerian Supreme Council of Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Social Assisted Projects (Nigerian Chapter) Committee Supervisory Secretariat act in an advisory capacity to the IMC.
